Berks Latin Mass Tomorrow

250 S 12th St. Reading PA

Hi everyone, this Sunday at 12:30pm we'll be having our monthly Traditional Latin Mass at St. Mary's in Reading. Below I posted a link to the propers so you can print them out, but we'll also bring some copies.

Father JV will be hearing confessions at 11:30 until about 12:15. We'll also be having a potluck after Mass. If you can bring some food, even something small, it would be greatly appreciated. If you don't normally stay after Mass for the social, I'd like to re-invite you to stop by. It's a great time to meet new and interesting people and grow in Christ.

We'll begin setting up for the social and schola practice at noon. Our rosary before Mass begins at 12:10.

In other Latin Mass news James Griffin is back leading the schola this Sunday! We’re also interested in finding new people interested in singing for the schola.

Also the Durandus Institute's Byzantine Vespers earlier this year to commemorate the 1,700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea was so successful that there will be a second event. This time, it will be presided by Archbishop Borys, Metropolitan-Archbishop of the Ukrainian Catholic Archeparchy of Philadelphia, with an ensemble of men's chanters. Cardinal DiNardo (Archbishop Emeritus of Galveston-Houston) will give a presentation, followed by a panel discussion and refreshments. The event, which is in collaboration with Durandus, is offered in anticipation of the visit of Pope Leo XIV and the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople to Nicaea, Turkey at the end of November to solemnly commemorate the anniversary. This Vespers will take place on Thursday, November 13 at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Address: 820 N Franklin St, Philadelphia, PA 19123.

We're excited to see you this Sunday at 12:30pm. In case you don't have it written down our address is 250 S 12th St. Reading PA.

God bless
