Berks Latin Mass This Sunday @ 12:30pm

250 S 12th St. Reading PA

Hi everyone, this Sunday at 12:30pm we'll be having our monthly Traditional Latin Mass at St. Mary's in Reading. Below I posted a link to the propers so you can print them out, but we'll also bring some copies.

Thank you to Fr. Karpyn for filling in for Fr. Connolly who is recovering from total knee replacement surgery. We ask that you please pray for his swift and complete recovery.

Thank you to Fr. Miller for the use of St. Mary’s for our TLM. Fr. Miller will also be hearing confessions at 11:30 until about 12:15. We'll also be having a potluck after Mass. If you can bring some food, even something small, it would be greatly appreciated. If you don't normally stay after Mass for the social, I'd like to re-invite you to stop by. It's a great time to meet new and interesting people and grow in Christ.

We'll begin setting up for the social and schola practice at noon. Our rosary before Mass begins at 12:10.

Also, please pray for the soul of Fr. Seifert, who passed away on this Sunday. He was instrumental in bringing the Latin Mass to St. Stephen’s of Hungary.

In other Latin Mass news, our schola director, James Griffin, is currently organizing another major celebration of Vespers according to the Sarum rite: the Latin rite which was in use in England before the Protestant Reformation. This event, coordinated through the Durandus Institute, will bring a men's early music choir known as Gallicantus from the United Kingdom to share their talents with us. It will take place on Friday, March 1 at 7pm--St. David's Day--at the Chapel of Princeton University. Having a traditional Latin liturgy on the campus of one of our nation's most renowned Ivy League universities is a major step forward for all Catholics who are interested in the Extraordinary Form and how our community worships here every month. For more info or to collect a printed flyer, please speak to James after the end of Mass.

We're excited to see you this Sunday at 12:30pm. In case you don't have it written down our address is 250 S 12th St. Reading PA.

God bless
