- Berks Latin Mass This Sunday @ 12:30pm
Hi everyone!
This Sunday at 12:30pm we'll be having our monthly Traditional Latin Mass at St. Mary's in Reading. Below I posted a link to the propers so you can print them out, but we'll also bring some copies.
We'll have a potluck after Mass. If you can bring some food, even something small, we’d appreciate it! If you don't normally stay after Mass for the social, I'd like to re-invite you to stop by. It's a great time to meet new and interesting people and grow in Christ.
We'll begin setting up for the social and schola practice at noon. Our rosary before Mass begins at 12:10.
Also this Sunday, our schola is led by Matt Cavoto from the FSSP community in Allentown. Our regular schola director, James Griffin, was caught in an auto accident in Washington DC after coordinating a special Mass at the National Shrine. He is physically unharmed but will need time to acquire another car to make the trip back to St Mary's. Please pray for his success in finding a new car.
Also, all are welcome to attend the solemn high Latin Mass of the Assumption at the Cathedral Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul in Philadelphia. An orchestra will assist in the playing of Joseph Haydn's "Lord Nelson Mass", and other great works of sacred music through the ages, for a grand celebration of Our Lady on this feast. The Mass takes place on Tuesday, August 15 at 7pm.
